Activating Your License
Entering your license key
- From the home window, click Activate License (shown when Savvyshot isn't yet activated).
- Enter your license key. Keys are in UUID format:
XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX. - Submit the key. Savvyshot verifies it against your account.
Activation states
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Not activated | No valid license is currently active — free tier features only. |
| Verifying | Savvyshot is checking your key. |
| Activated | Your license is valid — the home window shows a "Full Version" badge. |
| Verification error | The key couldn't be verified — check for typos, or that the key hasn't been deactivated/transferred. |
Re-verification
Savvyshot automatically re-checks your license status when the app regains focus. If a check fails (e.g. due to no internet connection), a manual Verify License button lets you retry once you're back online.
Device activations
Each license key can be activated on a limited number of devices at the same time:
| Plan | Devices |
|---|---|
| Basic | 1 device |
| Pro | 3 devices |
Activating on a new device uses one of these slots. If you've used all your available activations and try to activate on another device, the activation will fail — deactivate the license on one of your existing devices first (or contact support) before activating elsewhere.
Troubleshooting
- "Verification error" on a key you're sure is correct — double-check for extra spaces or missing characters when copying the key, and confirm you have an internet connection for the initial check.
- Moving to a new computer — re-enter the same license key on the new machine to activate it there. If you're at your device limit, free up a slot by deactivating an older device first.
If you continue to have issues, contact support with your license key and purchase confirmation.
