A device activation is consumed when you activate your license key on a computer — see Activating Your License.
What's free
The free tier includes all core capture modes (region, window, full screen, and scrolling capture), the full editor — canvas styling, all annotation tools, device frames, and auto-redaction — and exporting to PNG/JPG/WebP.
Free exports include a default Savvyshot watermark.
What activation unlocks
Activating a license (Basic or Pro) with a license key removes the default watermark and unlocks:
- Custom watermark — your own text, color, and position. See Watermark.
- Custom gradient presets — save and reuse your own gradient backgrounds. See Canvas & Backgrounds.
- Video backgrounds — apply and export Pexels video backgrounds. See Canvas & Backgrounds and Exporting.
- Pinned windows — keep a screenshot floating on top of other windows. See Pinned Windows.
Lifetime updates
A single purchase covers all future updates to that major version line — see Updates for how update checks work.
Buying a license
Purchase a license from savvyshot.app. After purchase, you'll receive a license key to activate in the app — see Activating Your License.
