Download

Download the latest installer for your platform from savvyshot.app.

  • WindowsSavvyshot_Setup_<version>.exe
  • macOSSavvyshot_Setup_<version>.dmg

Installing on Windows

  1. Run the downloaded .exe installer.
  2. If Windows SmartScreen shows a warning, choose More info → Run anyway (the installer is code-signed, but new releases can briefly trigger this warning).
  3. Follow the setup wizard. Savvyshot installs as a regular desktop application and adds a Start Menu shortcut.
  4. Launch Savvyshot. By default, it adds an icon to your system tray for quick access.

Installing on macOS

  1. Open the downloaded .dmg file.
  2. Drag Savvyshot into your Applications folder.
  3. Launch Savvyshot from Applications or Launchpad. The app is notarized and code-signed, so it should open normally.

Permissions on first launch (macOS)

Some capture and editing features rely on macOS system permissions. Savvyshot will prompt for these the first time they're needed:

  • Screen Recording — required for full-screen, window, and scrolling captures.
  • Accessibility — required for scrolling capture to detect and scroll the target window, and for global capture hotkeys to work reliably.

If you skip a permission prompt, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and enable Savvyshot under Screen Recording and Accessibility, then restart the app.
